It’s time to connect.
At Lifetouch, we love being a place where you can capture memories, stay connected to your loved ones, and build community. In the midst of COVID-19, and school, preschool, church and studio closings, we will continue to be that place where you can share, connect, and watch your kids grow up together.
You want your kids to have good memories of this time. You want them to get through this and be better off for the experience—all while keeping your community stronger than ever.
But it’s tough out there. We’ve never been through this. Many of you are working from home with kids in the house fulltime now. Schedules are unpredictable. Your work structure has been dismantled. And at the end of the (very long) day, you’re not sure you’re doing any of this right.
As a community, we’ll come through this stronger than we were before; hopefully, with fonder memories than we imagined.
Please see the latest updates from our team and we will continue to keep you informed on new information.
We hope to see all of your smiles again very soon.
School Photography Update: We continue to monitor the situation and follow the guidelines and recommendations provided by the Center for Disease Control and U.S. Department of Health. As a result of this ever-changing situation, new safety protocols have been put in place for Fall Picture Day to ensure the wellbeing of students, staff, and our employees. This includes the recommendation of face coverings for students and staff being photographed. During their individual session, face coverings may only be removed for the purpose of having their photography taken. Face coverings are required for parent volunteers. If you are a School administrator with questions about our new disinfecting or social-distancing policies, please don’t hesitate to contact your local Lifetouch representative who can assist you.
Prestige Photography by Lifetouch Update: This fall, we are committed to capturing the once-in-a-lifetime achievements of graduates even during these uncertain times. The wellbeing of students, staff, and our employees is our top priority, and new safety protocols have been put in place to ensure that we adhere to federal and local public health guidelines during upcoming photography sessions. Please note that face coverings will be required for all customers and their guests inside our studios and may only be removed for the purpose of having your photography taken. Face coverings are required for parent volunteers.
Preschool Photography Update: Pending recommendations from the CDC and local government, we anticipate resuming our preschool photography business this fall with enhanced safety protocols for the protection of students, staff, and employees. This includes the recommendation of face coverings for students (2 years of age or older) and staff being photographed. During their individual session, face coverings may only be removed for the purpose of having their photography taken. Face coverings are required for parent volunteers. If you are a preschool business owner or administrator with questions about our new disinfecting or social-distancing policies, please don’t hesitate to contact your local Lifetouch representative who can assist you. We will communicate with you as quickly as possible If any government mandates require us to be closed longer than anticipated.
To provide the safest environment for your family on Picture Day, Lifetouch will require infants or non-sitters to be photographed using their own blanket for the purpose of helping to pose your child. Any infant or non-sitter without a blanket will unfortunately not be photographed.
JCPenney Portraits by Lifetouch Update: As of July, select JCPenney Portraits locations will begin reopening nationwide with new safety protocols for the protection of our customers and employees. Reopening of studios will continue under a phased approach based on the guidance of local and state mandates. If you have placed an order before the closure of your local studio, you will be able to pick it up once the store and studio re-open. Visit our website to view open appointments in your area.
Your safety continues to be our top priority. As part of our enhanced cleaning and safety protocols, all studio locations are discontinuing the use of soft, porous studio props. This includes items like blankets, swaddles, stuffed animals, fairy wings, dresses, accessories, etc. We will continue to provide props made from hard, non-porous materials, including chalkboard signs, stand props, ornaments, wooden snowflakes, etc. Customers are required to bring their own baby wrap or blanket to photograph newborns or non-sitters. We encourage customers to customize their sessions and bring personal props from home.
Please note that face coverings will be required for all customers inside our studios and may only be removed for the purpose of having your photography taken.
Church Photography Update: COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on the way we are able to connect with one another and our ability to provide photography services. Out of deep respect for the core work you do in bringing communities together and caring for their spiritual needs while protecting one another and helping to slow the spread of the virus, we are putting all Lifetouch Church Photography on hold. We have made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel all upcoming photography programs this Fall. While we can’t say for certain how long this will last, we are very much looking forward to connecting with you after this pause in our operations about how we can provide the best photography program possible for you and the members of your community.
